Internet marketing and technology company Inuvo Inc. of Conway on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $382,291, or 2 cents per share, flat compared to the same quarter last year.

Revenue reached $10.9 million, down 17 percent from $13.1 million in the same quarter last year.

Richard Howe, chairman and CEO, said executives were pleased with the sequential and year-over-year revenue growth, and added that the firm’s owned and operated sites and applications, as well as mobile revenue, grew during the quarter.

He said the lower year-over-year revenue was mainly due to the company’s decision to leave the toolbar business and pile more resources into scaling own content network.

Correction: The previous version of this article misstated earnings from the second quarter of 2013.
