Arkansas Homes Sales Up 10 Percent in June

Home sales rose 10.4 percent in June, according to a report Friday by the Arkansas Realtors Association.

The association, which surveys a 43-county area in Arkansas, said 2,708 home changed hands in June compared to 2,453 home sold in the same month last year.

The association also said the average price of those homes sold was $164,227, down about 2 percent from the same time last year.

Here's a look at sales for the state's most active markets in June:

  • Pulaski County was flat in June with 440 homes sold, unchanged from last June.
  • Benton County sold 438 homes, up 4.3 percent from 420 in June 2013.
  • Washington County sold 294 homes, up 18.6 percent from 248.
  • Faulkner County sold 146 homes, up 8.2 percent from 135.
  • Saline County sold 132 homes, down 5 percent from 139.
