In Conway, Bill Clinton Asks Arkansas Voters to Avoid Protest Vote

1 min read

CONWAY – Former President Bill Clinton is urging Arkansas voters to not use the midterm election as a protest vote against the White House as he kicks off a series of rallies to help Democrats in his home state.

Clinton on Monday praised the state’s top Democratic candidates as people willing to work with both parties for the good of Arkansas.

Clinton appeared at a rally at the University of Central Arkansas with U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor, gubernatorial hopeful Mike Ross, congressional candidate Pat Hays and Gov. Mike Beebe. Monday’s rally was the first of four Clinton planned to headline around Arkansas, where Democrats are trying to prevent a Republican takeover of the state’s top offices.

Rallies are planned in Jonesboro later Monday and in Fayetteville and Rogers on Tuesday.
