Whataburger Chain To Break Ground on First of Five Possible Locations in NWA

1 min read

Whataburger hopes to break ground for its Fayetteville restaurant this month.

Construction of a Rogers location will probably start a few weeks after that. Earlier this year, the private burger chain based in San Antonio paid $1.45 million for property at 1920 and 1956 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Fayetteville, and it bought the West Pleasant Crossing Drive site in Rogers for about $1.17 million.

We’re told the chain has selected three more sites for future restaurants in northwest Arkansas. We wouldn’t be surprised if two of the three are in Bentonville and Springdale.

Whataburger operational officials recently toured Benton and Washington counties to get a lay of the land.
