1 min read

Northwest Arkansas is soon to have a plethora of Newk’s Eatery restaurants.

The restaurant chain, based in Jackson, Mississippi, announced Thursday its plans for four restaurants in northwest Arkansas by 2016, which will increase the number of eateries in the state to eight.

The first restaurant, run by Jim Lynch and Jim White, is set to open in December in Fayetteville at 637 E. Joyce Blvd. The restaurant is slated to be 5,000-SF with accommodations for 144 customers and jobs for more than 50 people.

Others will follow in Bentonville, Rogers and Fort Smith.

Newk’s, a fast casual restaurant, is known for its salads, California-style pizzas, sandwiches and soups. The chain has 70 locations in 13 states with 14 more restaurants to be added by March.

Newk’s already has locations in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Jonesboro and Hot Springs.
