Businesses in 33 Counties Have 1 Month to Apply for Loans

1 min read

LITTLE ROCK – Small, non-farm businesses in 33 Arkansas counties have one month left to apply for a federal disaster loan for economic injury caused by the severe storms that ripped through the state last year.

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Disaster Field Operations Center said Monday that owners have until March 9 to apply.

The loans are intended to offset economic losses caused by the excessive rain, flooding, hail, dangerous lightning and deadly tornadoes that occurred last April and May.

The SBA also says business owners in certain neighboring counties in Mississippi and Missouri affected by the severe weather can also apply.

Disaster loan information and application forms are available by calling (800) 659-2955.
