Asa Hutchinson Names Gary ‘Bud’ Roberts to Lead ABC

1 min read

Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Thursday announced Gary “Bud” Roberts as the new director of the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.

“Bud’s breadth of experience in Arkansas law, in addition to the knowledge he possesses of the issues related to ABC, makes him the right choice as new director,” Hutchinsons said in a news release.

Roberts replaces Michael Langley, an appointee of former Gov. Mike Beebe who Hutchinson decided not to retain.

Roberts founded the Roberts Law Firm PA in Little Rock, which he led for 19 years. He now operates a general solo law practice in Benton. He is a graduate of the William H. Bowen School of Law and of Louisiana State University, where he studied finance.
