Outlets at Little Rock to Mark Grand Opening on Oct. 16

1 min read

The developers of the Outlets at Little Rock said Wednesday that the shopping center will mark its grand opening on Friday, Oct. 16.

The shopping center, located at Gateway Town Center at the intersection of I-30 and I-430 in Little Rock, is expected to bring 75 stores and support about 1,000 jobs. The development company, New England Development, hired CDI Contractors LLC of Little Rock to manage construction of the 325,000-SF center, which is also located near Bass Pro Shops.

Developers said Wednesday that they plan to mark the grand opening with a full weekend of festivities.

“We have a strong list of retailers on board,” Michael Barelli, vice president of New England Development, said in a news release. “We know Arkansans are eager to start shopping, and the stores will be open in time for fall fashions and the start of holiday shopping.”

The company has yet to reveal the full lineup of retailers. But Arkansas Business news partner THV 11 News reported earlier this month that six shops had requested building permits at the site: China Max, Dress Barn, Express, Gymboree, Kay Jewelers and The Children’s Place.

Barelli said the retailers will begin making announcements a couple of months before the grand opening.

The grand opening is also timed around the final weekend of the Arkansas State Fair. Barelli said he hopes the Outlets at Little Rock will be part of attendees’ entertainment plans that weekend.
