Delta Airlines has canceled flights until 8:30 a.m. and United Airlines has canceled flights until 10:30 a.m. Southwest Airlines has canceled flights until 11 a.m.
The National Weather Service reports snowfall in the area should stop by about noon. Freezing temperatures are projected to linger until Saturday afternoon.

6 Inches of Sleet
Forecasters say an overnight storm dropped up to six inches of sleet and snow across central Arkansas and more than eight inches in the northeast part of the state.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of the state. The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department reports that every highway in the state is covered in snow or ice with the exception of some routes in northwest Arkansas, which are only partly covered.
Snowfall across the state should slow at sunrise and finish around noon.
Temperatures are expected to drop Friday into the single digits in northeast Arkansas. Western and southern Arkansas should be in the mid-teens.
Forecasters say the state should be above freezing by Saturday afternoon.
