Channel 7 Still the One After February TV Ratings

1 min read

KATV-TV in Little Rock again swept the sweeps in February.

According to Nielsen Media Research ratings released by the station, KATV had the highest viewership numbers in every news time slot where it competed against other stations. The station’s highest-rated slot was the “News at 6,” which received a 14.5 rating — more than 6 points higher than both KARK-TV, Channel 4, and KTHV-TV, Channel 11.

KATV General Manager Mark Rose attributed the rankings in part to the station’s weather coverage.

“Research has shown us that Arkansas viewers turn to Channel 7 in severe weather situations, and these ratings reflect that,” Rose said. “We are honored that Arkansans trust us for this vital information, and our entire staff takes that responsibility very seriously.”

KARK and KLRT-TV, Channel 16, do not subscribe to the Nielsen ratings or comment on them.

KTHV did not respond to a message seeking comment.
