1 min read

The Arkansas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators will host a workshop next month on new media.

The “Navigating the New Media” workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. June 26 at the Heifer International Village in Little Rock. The cost to attend is $50 for students, $75 for IABC members and $100 for nonmembers, the group said in a news release.

Topics that the workshop will address include the strengths and weaknesses of different mediums, how to write differently for those mediums and how to build a messaging strategy.

Corporate communication consultant Jeff Herrington, who has worked with companies including Whirlpool and John Deere, will be the workshop’s featured speaker.

“Every company and organization faces the challenge of developing messages for multiple media in a very fast-paced fashion,” camp director Neal Moore said in a news release.

The event’s sponsors include Arkansas Business, Jive Software, Custom XM, First Class Communication, Harding University and Innovate Arkansas.
