UCA’s Doug Voss Named to Trucking Association Board

1 min read

Doug Voss, associate professor of logistics and supply chain management at the University of Central Arkansas, has been appointed to the Arkansas Trucking Association Board of Directors.

Voss was elected to the 21-member board during the ATA annual conference in April. He will serve a one-year, renewable term. Voss will also continue serving on the ATA’s 40 Under 40 Council. In 2010, he was a member of the council’s inaugural class

“Trucking is filled with good, safety conscious, hard-working men and women,” Voss said. “It is an honor to serve these individuals and one of Arkansas’ most important industries as a member of the ATA Board of Directors.”

Voss is director of the Center for Logistics Education, Advancement and Research at UCA. The center, which began in 2007, works to educate logistics professionals and conduct research that benefits the state logistics industry, UCA and other stakeholders.

The UCA supply chain logistics management program began in 2010 and has an enrollment of about 40 students.

The ATA is owned and governed by more than 300 trucking companies and industry suppliers.
