Cotton, Womack See Opportunity at Springdale’s Pratt & Whitney Facility

1 min read

U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton and Rep. Steve Womack helped Pratt & Whitney promote the recent growth of its PSD repair facility in Springdale.

The facility, which completed more than 3,400 repairs last year, spent $6 million in upgrades and hired 50 new employees since 2014. It now employs about 180.

Cotton and Womack gave short speeches about the company’s recent success.

“The credit rests with you, the people of Pratt & Whitney,” Cotton said.

PSD is one of Pratt & Whitney’s 13 repair centers nationwide. General Manager Mike Finan said the facility upgraded its equipment to better handle the 60 percent increase in work.

“People follow jobs,” Womack said. “There’s an enormous opportunity here.”
