Rockfish Nets Chad Bingle To Lead Digital Strategy (Movers & Shakers)

Chad Bingle has joined the Rogers office of Rockfish, a marketing and advertising firm, as director of digital strategy. Susan Roper has also joined as the office’s manager of finance and accounting. Bingle, who recently moved from a California startup company, will lead major Rockfish accounts through research and execution of clients’ digital marketing initiatives. Roper will aid in the everyday processing of Rockfish accounts.

Education

Shannon Fleming, formerly the executive director of the University of Southern Mississippi’s university foundation, has been named senior director of development of the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Fleming has worked at various Arkansas institutions over the past 40 years, including the University of Arkansas at Monticello, Henderson State University and the University of Central Arkansas.

Financial Services

Burt Hicks has been promoted to investor relations officer for Simmons First National Corp. Hicks will also continue in his current roles as chief of staff and vice president of mergers and acquisitions, secretary to the board for both SFNC and Simmons First National Bank and as member of the board of the Simmons First Foundation.

Valerie Erkman, Alan Harrison and Eric Mangham have received new positions within Arkansas Federal Credit Union. Erkman, who has marketing experience with Arkansas Capitol Corp., Windstream and Alltel, has been brought in as AFCU’s vice president of marketing. Harrison has been hired as vice president of business services after serving as senior vice president and senior lender at Capital Bank of Little Rock. Mangham, a former examiner with the National Credit Union Administration who joined AFCU in 2012, has been promoted to chief financial officer.

Health Care

Melissa DeSantiago has been named director of human resources at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock. With a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, DeSantiago has spent 14 years in human resources work, including positions at Arkansas Heart Hospital and Easter Seals, both of Little Rock.

Insurance

Angela Ward, an Arkansas Farm Bureau claims representative in Saline County, was named the 2015 Office Claims Representative of the Year during a June conference.

Law

Brian Vandiver has been made a partner at Cox Sterling McClure & Vandiver PLLC of North Little Rock. Vandiver, who was previously a partner at Mitchell Williams Selig Gates & Woodyard PLLC of Little Rock, will continue representing Arkansas employers and will expand his practice to include legislative, public policy and constitutional law cases.

Nonprofits

Rev. J. Wayne Clark, Daryl Coker, U.S. Magi-strate Judge Beth Deere, the Rev. John Robbins and Bill Wisener were elected to the board of directors of the United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas. Clark is the associate vice president of development and dean of the chapel at Hendrix College in Conway. Coker attends Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Deere is in the Henry Woods American Inn of Court and serves on the 8th Circuit Model Jury Instruction Committee. Robbins is the senior pastor of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
