Central Arkansas Transit Authority Set To Debut New Name, New Look

1 min read

Central Arkansas Transit Authority will debut its new name and new look Aug. 11, seven months after the CATA Board of Directors voted to rechristen the agency “Rock Region Metro.”

The board voted in January to change not only the agency’s name but its color scheme and design.

The rebranding is all part of CATA’s plan to modernize its services, an effort it calls “MOVE Central Arkansas.”

The authority will roll out 15 new buses, buses fueled with compressed natural gas, that will feature Rock Region Metro’s new look.

All the agency’s vehicles, along with signs, brochures and transit centers, will eventually share “a consistent, bold, updated look to showcase an effective and responsive transit system that reflects a forward-thinking region and a broader group of markets and customers.”

We live in hope.
