Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock said it could release plans next week for providing service in northwest Arkansas.
The Arkansas Times, citing “several” unnamed sources, reported Friday that ACH is in the process of opening a hospital there.
Rob Steele, the hospital’s senior vice president and chief strategy officer, told Arkansas Business on Friday that the hospital isn’t ready to announce its plans.
But he added that ACH has been in talks with community members and doctors for the last four months to determine what the “community wants and needs are.”
“We feel very confident that the needs for children’s care are greater than what we are currently providing,” Steele said. “We’ve been working through that, but we aren’t at a place now to discuss what that solution might really look like.”
He said he expects an announcement to come at the end of next week.
