Metova to Open Fayetteville Office, Hire 30

2 min read

Metova Inc. announced Tuesday that it will expand to Fayetteville and immediately create 30 technology-based jobs.

Metova develops apps and provides strategy, design, development and marketing for companies including the U.S. Department of Defense, Yelp, Dropbox, Flixster and eHarmony. The company, based in Franklin, Tennessee, opened a downtown Conway office earlier this year and soon thereafter announced expansion plans there.

It plans to employ 160 in Conway by the summer of 2016. It also operates an office in Cabot.

Metova received a “create rebate” from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission as an incentive to open the Fayetteville office. It provides a cash rebate of 3.9 percent based on the payroll of new jobs for two years.

The Fayetteville office is expected to meet the demands of the rapidly growing mobile and digital media industry, the company said.

“Wow! The fact that Metova is significantly expanding for the third time is a testament to the state’s growing reputation as a hub for tech companies,” said Gov. Asa Hutchinson in a statement. “Through increased STEM education and our new computer coding initiative, we are preparing a workforce that will be a great fit for Metova. The company has already announced more than 160 new jobs in Conway in 2015 and now brings 30 additional jobs to northwest Arkansas. We appreciate Metova’s ongoing commitment to doing business in Arkansas.”

Metova CEO John Adams said the new jobs in Fayetteville primarily would be in application programming and development. Those interested in the new jobs can get more information at Metova.com/Jobs

“Northwest Arkansas is an ideal location for our latest expansion, where there is a great pool of talent, higher education opportunities, and a thriving business environment,” he said.
