Shelley Short Promoted at State Chamber of Commerce (Movers & Shakers)

Shelley Short has been named director of programs and marketing by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/Associated Industries of Arkansas. She will also serve as the executive secretary for the Arkansas Economic Developers and the Arkansas Chamber of Commerce Executives. A native Arkansan, Short most recently served as director of marketing for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.


Rev. Tasha Blackburn of Fort Smith, Vernita Humphrey of Little Rock, Geoffrey Davis Kearney of Pine Bluff, Julie Trimble of El Dorado and Janis Walmsley of Batesville have joined the board of directors of Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services in Little Rock.

Blackburn is pastor of Fort Smith Presbyterian Church. Humphrey is a member of Allison Memorial Presbyterian Church. Kearney is an associate attorney at Wallace Martin Duke & Russell and member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.

Trimble is a member of First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado. Walmsley is an owner of Atlas Asphalt and member of First Presbyterian Church in Batesville.
