ABC Approves First Package Permits for Saline County Liquor Stores

1 min read

The Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Board so far has approved eight permits for liquor stores in Saline County out of the 21 package store licenses available.

One of those went to Christopher T. Howlett, owner of Alcoa Wine & Spirits at 6948 Alcoa Road, the first package store to open in Saline County after voters there last November endorsed alcohol sales in the county.

Howlett, who also owns a pawn shop in Little Rock, said business had been great since Alcoa Wine & Spirits opened Oct. 16. “We just believe in customer service and try to have everything anybody needs,” he said.

The seven other package store permits in the county went to:

  • Lori A. Snyder, Military Road Liquor, 1205 Military Road, Suite 9, Benton.
  • Matthew M. Snyder, Matt’s Wine & Spirits, 1205 Military Road, Suite 3, Benton.
  • Jamie S. Bennett, Back Door Liquor Store, 105 Mitchell St., Benton.
  • David A. Johnson, Main Street Liquors, 3411 Main St., No. 1, Bryant.
  • Harry W. Bryant, Harry B’s Beverage, 20218 Arch St., East End.
  • Jennifer T. Fetters, Reynolds Road Bottle Shop, 100 Bryant Ave., Suite 1, Bryant.
  • Deborah W. Goolsby, Bryant Plaza Liquor, 23231 Interstate 30 South, Suite 30, Bryant.
