Hilary Hunt Moves to KNWA/KFTA

1 min read

Hilary Hunt, a broadcast reporter at KARK and KLRT in Little Rock for the past two years, is cheerful and excited about becoming an anchor at KNWA and KFTA in Fayetteville, but she was adamant about one thing:

“You can write that I went to Mississippi State, but right below it you have to write Woo Pig Sooie!”

Hunt’s last day at Little Rock’s NBC and Fox affiliates will be May 27, but she will still be working for the Nexstar Broadcasting Group. KNWA is Nexstar’s NBC affiliate in northwest Arkansas; KFTA is its Fox station.

“I’m excited to be going to the anchor desk, and I’m eager to see another side of Arkansas,” Hunt said in an interview last week. “I’ve really made a home here in the state the past two years, and this seemed like a great step and an awesome opportunity to stay with the company and stay in the eyes of Arkansans.”

Hunt, 26 and a native of Tampa, Florida, said she is eager for new adventures. She’ll find them as the weekend anchor on KNWA and KFTA starting in June. She joined the Little Rock stations in April 2014 as a general assignment reporter after spending eight months in Monroe, Louisiana, she said.
