CJRW Hires Capitol Veteran to Work on AEDC Account

1 min read

State Capitol veteran Katherine Vasilos will join CJRW as an account executive on June 30, working on the Little Rock ad agency’s new campaign for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, among other duties.

Vasilos, a former communications director for the Republican Party of Arkansas, is now director of operations and special projects for the Arkansas House of Representatives. Her hiring was announced Tuesday morning by Darin Gray, chairman and chief executive officer of CJRW, who described Vasilos as a “well known and well respcted individual who brings valuable insight to our agency and strategic expertise to our clients.”

In her job at the Arkansas House, Vasilos monitored and analyzed legislation, researched policy positions and was a liaison between the legislature and the state’s constitutional officers and agencies.

Vasilos, a former public affairs associate at Little Rock’s Noble Strategies, said in a news release that she was pleased to join an elite firm with a mandate to “promote Arkansas as a premier business destination.”

The AEDC awarded two contracts worth $800,000 each to CJRW last week, one for public relations and the other for branding, multichannel marketing and video production. “I look forward to joining the outstanding CJRW team and continuing work on issues important to Arkansas’ future,” Vasilos said.
