George’s Inc. Names Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer

Devin Cole has been named chief strategy and commercial officer of privately held poultry company George’s Inc. of Springdale.

George’s announced Wednesday that he would be overseeing the development and implementation of the company’s corporate growth strategy.

“His extensive and diverse experience in the poultry and prepared-food business will complement the strength of our executive team and further position us for growth and expansion,” Carl George, co-CEO and president said in a news release,

Cole has over 20 years of experience in the global food services field.

“I  have a great deal of respect for the George’s organization,” Cole said in the release. “It is a privilege to have the opportunity to join their leadership team.”

He told Arkansas Business, “Keeping customer value in mind, we will evaluate different methods of expansion that capitalize on both internal and external strengths. I look forward to playing this larger role in developing the company’s long-term growth strategy.”

Cole has been a senior manager, president of sales and marketing and chief commercial officer for Tyson Foods. He left his position as president of Keystone Foods to join George’s.

“Devin will drive new ventures for George’s with the purpose of accelerating growth and diversification in the food industry by developing or acquiring complementary businesses and product-lines to our existing business,” Charles George, co-CEO and president said in the release. “His knowledge and strategic focus along with our current team will be instrumental as we continue to grow and elevate our company.”
