Construction Begins on Arkansas Children’s $4.4M Clinic

1 min read

Arkansas Children’s Hospital started construction Wednesday on its $4.4 million Southwest Little Rock Community Clinic.

The 11,000-SF building is expected to open in the spring and will “greatly expand access to primary care for thousands of children who live nearby, many of them from Spanish-speaking families,” according to an Arkansas Children’s Hospital news release.

Arkansas Children’s said it saw the need for the clinic as the Hispanic population continued to grow in the area.

The clinic at 9015 Dailey Drive will feature a bilingual staff, 15 exam rooms, an X-ray suite and a laboratory.

“This clinic will truly offer families care close to home, just around the corner from where they live, play and go to school,” Arkansas Children’s President & CEO Marcy Doderer said in the news release.

Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects of Little Rock was the architect on the project. Nabholz Construction of Conway is the general contractor.
