New Flights Between Northwest Arkansas, DC To Start in April

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) announced Friday that American Airlines will offer a new nonstop jet service between northwest Arkansas and Washington, D.C. starting April 5.

Tickets for the daily flights, operated by Republic, will go on sale Monday.

Airport Director Kelly Johnson said in a news release, “Northwest Arkansas is a rapidly growing and economically diverse region of this country. We appreciate the fact that our partners at American Airlines recognize the need for this service and we thank them for their continued commitment to our region.”

Morning flights will depart XNA at 7 a.m. and arrive at Reagan Washington National (DCA) at 10:45 a.m. Evening flights will depart from Washington at 7:30 p.m. and arrive at XNA at 9:10 p.m.

The company also offers nonstop service to Dallas; LaGuardia, New York; O’Hare, Chicago; Los Angeles; and Charlotte, North Carolina.
