2 min read

Staffing agency Travel Nurse Across America Inc. of North Little Rock announced Monday the acquisition of competitor Trinity Healthcare Staffing Group of Florence, South Carolina.

The companies assign travel nurse professionals to health care facilities in all 50 states. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition also includes the brand Simpli Fi Managed Services, which provides contingent health care workforce service to hospitals.

“It’s our mission to raise the bar on how the entire travel nursing industry services both nurses and client facilities,” Travel Nurse CEO Gene Scott said in a news release. “The cultures of both companies align so well with each other, it’s clear that our combined efforts will deliver this increased value. We are excited to see what’s in store for our future as we join forces and become a stronger company.”

The company said the acquisition would give it the ability to supply travel nurses with a wider variety of assignments and to provide clients with a larger pool of qualified nurses.

“By combining two companies that have already established formidable teams and resources, we can improve the services we provide to our existing travelers and clients, and become a better option for those who are seeking a new agency partner,” Trinity Founder and CEO Matt Floyd said in the news release.

This acquisition will make make Travel Nurse one of the top five largest travel nurse staffing firms, the companies said.

Travel Nurse was named a Best Place to Work in September and is a finalist for Arkansas Business of the Year in the 76-300 employees category. It was previously named a Best Place to Work in 2014 and 2015, and it won the 2014 Arkansas Business of the Year Award in the 26-75 employees category.
