HOT SPRINGS – The Arkansas Supreme Court has lifted the suspension of a Garland County judge who was found not guilty in the death of his son in a hot car.
The court on Thursday ruled that Circuit Judge Wade Naramore can return to the bench.
The ruling comes one year and one day after Naramore was formally charged with misdemeanor negligent homicide in the July 2015 death of his 18-month-old son – Thomas. The child died after being left in a hot car for nearly seven hours when Naramore failed to take him to daycare before going to work.
Naramore was acquitted in August after testifying that he “lost awareness” his son was in the car.
Naramore took a leave of absence after his son’s death before being suspended with pay.
