2 min read

Wayne Miller has been selected to lead the Venture Center’s global VC FinTech Accelerator program in Little Rock. As managing director, he is responsible for leading the program, a collaboration empowered by FIS, to invest and grow financial technology companies.

“It is rare for an accelerator program as young as ours to be led by a seasoned executive of Wayne’s caliber,” Lee Watson, president and CEO of the Venture Center, said in a press release. “In addition to access to his deep wealth of executive experience, cohort founders will benefit from the day-to-day guidance of someone who’s built and scaled companies at the highest level.”

Miller previously served as CEO of Enovative Technologies LLC, a private equity-backed medical device manufacturer in Bishopville, Maryland. Miller also has worked with two startup technology companies in the health care and cybersecurity markets and has taught entrepreneurship as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland.

As CEO of Admine.com, a startup internet advertising syndication company, Miller raised $18 million in venture capital and developed relationships with many well-known media companies, including Scripps, Gannett, Hearst and Clear Channel.

Other positions have included director of business development for Proxicom in Reston, Virginia, national director of business development for Deloitte in Washington, D.C., director of national accounts for Hill-Ro in Batesville, Indiana, and marketing manager for Kraft Foods. Miller has also owned and operated a national multi-unit automotive franchise as well as New Orleans Emporium, a Washington, D.C., restaurant.

Miller received his education at the University of Pittsburgh.
