The Arkansas Department of Finance & Administration announced Monday that Scott Hardin has been hired as its director of communications, effective July 31.
He is currently director of communications for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.
Jake Bleed, who previously served as DFA’s communications director, accepted a position in the governor’s office in early July.
“Effective communication with media and Arkansas citizens is an important component of our daily work,” DFA Director Walther said in a news release. “Scott has years of experience that will be an asset in our communication efforts.”
Hardin said in the release, “DFA serves and has an impact on each and every Arkansan. I look forward to sharing information on the many ways this agency is working daily to keep our great state functioning at a high level.”
He is a Russellville native and a graduate of Arkansas Tech University. Hardin joined AEDC in June 2001.
