KTHV Hires 30-Year KATV Veteran Leigh Graham to Lead Local Sales

1 min read

KTHV-TV in Little Rock has landed a key sales leader from crosstown rival KATV, announcing the hiring of Leigh Graham as its local sales manager.

Graham had been a fixture at Channel 7 for more than 30 years, serving for the last 14 as the Little Rock ABC affiliate’s local sales manager. A University of Alabama graduate with a master’s in communications from the University of Texas at Austin, Graham joined KATV in 1986 as its director of research.

“THV11 has been a legend in the Little Rock Market for years, and I’m so excited to become a part of this great team,” Graham said in a KTHV news release.

Her hiring was announced by Channel 11’s director of sales, Craig Carnesi, who also said that Jacob Amis has been promoted to sales marketing manager. Amis joined KTHV in 2007 as operations technician and was newscast director before becoming client services producer in 2015. In that role he led video production for sales.

“We are thrilled that Leigh has chosen to bring her leadership and market experience to the THV team, and we’re excited to recognize the hard work Jacob does to deliver results to our clients,” Carnesi said.

THV11 is owned by Tegna Inc., a publicly traded company created when the Gannett Co. was split in two in 2015. The company, based in McLean, Virginia, owns 46 TV stations around the country and had $3.3 billion in revenue in 2016.
