Randy Scott Takes CEO Seat at Farmers Bank & Trust (Movers & Shakers)

Randy Scott has been promoted to president and CEO of Farmers Bank & Trust of Blytheville.

Steve Bell, who had been CEO, continues to serve as chairman of the board of Farmers Bank and has joined the bank ownership’s Lawrence Banking Group, which oversees seven operations owned by Gaylon Lawrence Jr.

Scott, who has a degree in finance and accounting from Southeast Missouri State University, has worked in banking for 27 years. He joined Farmers 17 years ago, and had been president and COO for 12 years.


Greg Rotter, formerly Fort Smith/Van Buren market president for Centennial Bank, has joined Chambers Bank of Danville as market president for the western region that includes Fort Smith, and Beverly Elam has been hired as vice president-commercial services manager in Fort Smith.

Rotter is a native of the Fort Smith area who started his career 23 years ago with Superior Federal Bank. Elam, who has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, most recently worked for Centennial Bank and previously for Simmons Bank, Arvest Bank and Republican Bank of Norman, Oklahoma.


Johnathon Welch and Scott Lambert have been promoted to commissioned senior examiners by the Arkansas State Bank Department, while Adam Chase, Kelly Davis, Wes Mathis and Wynne Morgan were promoted to bank junior examiners.

The department also made two speciality hires: Elliot Hartle, a bank examiner trainee in the Information Systems Division, and Lance Black, an examiner trainee in the Trust Division.
