John Beachboard tells Whispers the Big Orange restaurant in Rogers will have its soft opening — serving staff and friends and family — this week and will open to the public the week after.

Beachboard is a partner in Yellow Rocket Concepts, the restaurant group responsible for Big Orange as well as Local Lime, Zaza, Heights Taco & Tamale Co. and Lost Forty Brewing.

The Big Orange, in the Pinnacle Hills Promenade at 2203 S. Promenade Blvd., is Yellow Rocket’s third Big Orange and the group’s first restaurant outside central Arkansas.

Soon to join Big Orange in the same shopping center is Local Lime, which, at 7,500 SF and 230 seats, will be Yellow Rocket’s biggest restaurant “by far,” Beachboard said. He said a spring 2018 opening is planned for Local Lime in Rogers.
