Colliers International Arkansas Names New President

Colliers International Arkansas, a commercial real estate and property management firm, announced Tuesday the promotion of Isaac Smith to president and that CEO Kevin Huchingson will now serve as its chairman.

Huchingson has been the the firm’s CEO and president for 15 years and will remain as CEO and chairman. 

Smith, formerly executive vice president and principal, began his career with the company as an intern in 2003 and was named principal in 2009. He is a certified commercial investment member, and is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtor and the International Council of Shopping Centers. 

Huchingson joined Colliers International (then Barnes Quinn Flake & Anderson) in 1993, was named principal in 1997 and was elected president and CEO in 2002. He guided the firm through three mergers with IBR Real Estate Inc., Lane Real Estate Services Inc. and, most recently, Irwin Partners.

Huchingson holds the counselor of real estate designation and is also a CCIM, SIOR and ICSC member.

Both Smith and Huchingson have been named to the Everest Club, which recognizes the top 10 percent of all Colliers International brokers from across the U.S., Canada and Latin America each year.

Both have been recognized by Arkansas Business as 40 under 40 honorees and are members of Leadership Greater Little Rock.

“Isaac has been taking on additional responsibilities with the firm for several years,” Huchingson said. “The timing was right for him to step into the official role of president and become actively involved in all critical company decisions. He is well positioned to lead our company’s growth for many years to come.”

Smith is a University of Arkansas graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Huchingson earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Centenary College of Louisiana and his master’s in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
