With 1 Worker, Arkansas State Center Aims to Aid Innovators

1 min read

JONESBORO — An innovation center at Arkansas State has only one employee — its director — after six months in operation, but has been able to help more than a dozen people work on patents and prototypes for their products.

The Jonesboro Sun reported Monday that, since opening in July, the Arkansas State University Innovation System has been able to help individuals develop products from start to finish. Director Ty Keller said he has been working with seven or eight people on patents, another eight to 10 on developing prototypes and three or four pushing their prototypes to market.

The $1.39 million center has a collaboration space and other facilities set up to help people who have good ideas but don’t have the money to move their ideas forward.
