Boutique Hotel in Downtown Little Rock Set for Summer 2019 Open

1 min read

A boutique hotel project in downtown Little Rock will be branded an AC Hotel by Marriott, a first in Arkansas.

An investment group called 201 W. Capitol LLC bought the buildings last summer. Work is already underway to redevelop the historic Hall and Davidson buildings at 201-215 W. Capitol Ave. into a 112-room hotel. The AC Hotel project is scheduled to open in summer 2019.

The group said the hotel will cater to the cultured corporate traveler and creative leisure visitors, noting that it could be a community spot for locals to gather at the crossroads of the city’s financial and cultural centers.

The AC Hotel will be an adaptive reuse of the 1923 Hall building and the adjacent 1947 Davidson building. Both are on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Capitol Main Historic District.

The property will feature a 5,000-SF restaurant in addition to the AC Lounge, which plans to serve local cocktails and tapas plates.

VCC Construction of Little Rock is leading the construction and preservation effort.

John T. Campo & Associates of New Orleans is leading interior design and architecture for the project.
