Did you know that all 10 of the gastroenterologists at the Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic are leaving?

The doctors announced on Dec. 1 that they will be gone as of June 1, Jennifer O’Brien, interim CEO of the Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic, said in an email to Whispers.

She said seven or eight of the doctors will form a single-specialty practice.

Including the gastroenterologists, LRDC has 42 physicians on its staff, who are all board-certified in internal medicine.

LRDC was founded in 1961 by three internal medicine specialists and has grown to include a 32-chair infusion center, a phlebotomy and laboratory service, an imaging center and a five-room procedure center. “The gastroenterologists who are leaving LRDC have committed to continuing to send their patients to our infusion center,” O’Brien wrote.
