John Daly might be living better, but he doesn't seem to be living smarter.

Daly, who appears to have rehabbed his image just in time for a new "reality" TV show for the Golf Channel, continues to make bone-headed decisions. Need evidence? Look at recent reatalitory action he took against a Florida sports writer.

Via Twitter Daly gave out the cell phone number of a Florida Times Union reporter that investigated the golfer's off-field conduct. Gary Smits reported on a Daly's 456-page personnel file from the PGA when it became a matter of public record as part of a lawsuit.

Smits responded via his Twitter account this morning.

Go to Daly's twitter site PGA_JohnDaly. He's urged his fans to flood my cell phone. Real mature. So far 10-12 have called

The offending post appears to have been removed, but Daly further proves that fame and money don't equate to good sense. Smits probably would have been better off ignoring Daly, though.

Imagine how many people wouldn't have known about this until Smits acknowledged it to the world.

Who doesn't love a good slap fight?
