Line of David, the 2010 Arkansas Derby winner, has been sold, according to the Hattiesburg American. His owners Ike and Dawn Thrash old him for an undisclosed amount to a Kentucky breeder.
Line of David won $662,000 this year, most of that earned by winning the Arkansas Derby, which qualified him to run in the prestigious Kentucky Derby. He won in Arkansas despite 17-1 odds against him. The Arkansas Derby was his third win since trainer John Sadler had put blinkers on him during races.

Line of David ran a disappointing Kentucky Derby, finishing 18th, but a strong showing at Oaklawn was enough to capture the big bucks for his former owners. Line of David was purchased as a 2-year-old for $150,000, so the Thrashes came out ahead.

It just goes to show that it pays to invest in Arkansas.
