Jake Hatley, a weekend sports anchor for KARK-TV, Channel 4, was among four on-air staff members fired by the television station after spoof videos appeared on YouTube. ArkansasBusiness.com first reported this story Thursday afternoon.

Hatley appears for 17 seconds in the video short "Is This Mic On?" playing a foil to reporter Pete Thompson's character. Hatley's only lines are "Here's your script, Pete," before Thompson throws the papers into the air and empties a wastebasket in front of Hatley.

Hatley joined KARK last January. His previous stints in the Little Rock market included press relations with War Memorial Stadium and serving five years as play-by-play announcer and head of press relations for what was then the Arkansas Twisters. He is a graduate of Arkansas State University.

Hatley offered no comment on his firing.
