Ouachita coach Todd Knight should enjoy this weekend. His Tigers football team is 2-0, has won on the road, scored 70 points so far, and only allowed 23. The next game isn't for another eight days, giving him and the team a little more time than usual to recover from a 20-hour round-trip to Omaha, prepare and stretch for the conference opener against UA-Monticello.

Following a season premiere against Texas College where the Tigers shut 'em down 70-0, OBU took out Nebraska-Omaha in Omaha 38-23. The Tigers mopped up 557 yards of total offense, including a 30-for-38 passing performance for 332 yards from senior quarterback Eli Cranor and sophomore running back Daniel McGee leading a 225 yard rushing outing, with 31 carries for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

We're not saying UNO was a cupcake team (Fun Fact: UNO's athletic director is former ESPN dude, Trev Alberts), but even if they were, ten long hours in a bus to Steak Town, USA, would fatigue anybody. Knight has every right to be proud of his team at this point. There is still more work to do. The only thing better than a good start to a season is a better end.
