Success in life: It’s all about stuff like taking advantage of opportunities and turning lemons into lemonade.

And using controversial officiating as a marketing opportunity.

Fayetteville-based McDonald Eye Associates is offering free laser eye surgery to “any official who was involved with the Arkansas and Auburn football game last weekend.”

Here’s a portion of the clinic’s press release, which we found on 4029tv.com:

The officiating of the game, which Auburn won 65-43 has come under much scrutiny among Arkansas fans because of the two controversial calls that went against the Razorbacks. Both plays directly led to Auburn touchdowns.

Errors and incorrect calls from the game could have possibly been avoided with better vision.

What "incorrect calls" you ask? Might we suggest a trip to McDonald Eye Associates and a hearing exam before offering up links providing further explanation.

• Bobby Petrino still won’t comment. He says he’s got a “gag order” when it comes to officiating.

• Athletic director Jeff Long issued a statement on the replay calls.

Jim Harris writes that the calls weren’t the biggest problems for Arkansas in the loss.

Here you’ll find video of the most controversial call and a clarification on how the call came about from the SEC office.
