In a game dominated by punishing defense on both sides, the Pulaski Academy Bruins shut out the Ashdown Panthers 38-0 in the Class 4A quarterfinals Friday night at Rector Field. Ashdown's Glenndon Bobo (5), Ryan Burris (28), Ethan Lewellen (22) and Bree Yown (46) take down the Bruins Aum'Arie Wallace on the opening kickoff. (Rhonda Sharp)

Springdale Har-Ber's reign in 7A is over following a 49-20 win by Bentonville, which sends the Tigers into next Friday's 7A state championship game against Fayetteville. The Bulldogs scores with 29 seconds left to overcome No. 2 seed Fort Smith Southside in Fort Smith in the other 7A semifinal. El Dorado advanced to next Saturday's 6A final, but it won't be against No. 2 Pine Bluff, which was shocked at home by Texarkana, 42-28. Camden Fairview and Greenwood will meet next Saturday in Little Rock in the 5A final after convincing wins on Friday.
