The UALR women’s basketball team won the team’s 20th straight home game and head coach Joe Foley reached the 600 career plateau as the Trojans defeated Arkansas State 53-36 Saturday at the Jack Stephens Center. The Trojans improve to 14-5 overall and 8-0 in Sun Belt Conference action.

Foley joins an elite group of Division I coaches becoming just the 21st Division I head coach to achieve 600 career wins and is the sixth fastest to do so.

Chastity Reed led all scorers with 16 points and led the Trojans with nine rebounds, while Marian Kursh contributed 11 points and eight boards. Shanika Butler led the team in assists with eight and recorded eight points in the win.

UALR continues Sun Belt Conference action on Wednesday as the Trojans host Denver for the WBCA Pink Zone game. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
