Arkansas picked a nice night for its best gymastics performance of the season.

Thanks to a season-best score of 196.70, the 15th-ranked Razorbacks defeated No. 1 Floirda. It was the Gators' first loss of the season and gave Arkansas at least a share of the SEC title.

“We had a lot of energy and we performed confidently,” co-head coach Rene Cook said. “We didn’t do any routines differently, we just did them better. We said before the meet that if they are going to beat us, they will have to earn it.”

Here's more from the UA:

The Razorbacks improved to 5-3 overall and 5-1 in the SEC. Florida lost for the first time, falling to 11-1 overall and 5-1 in the league. With the win, Arkansas clinched at least a tie for the SEC regular-season championship.

Junior All-American Jaime Pisani won the all-around title with a 39.60. She also won beam with a 9.875, and tied for the vault title with a 9.925 and the floor title with a 9.90.

Arkansas travels to Illinois-Chicago for a rare Sunday meet. Its final home meet is March 4 at 7 p.m.
