Arkansas has signed what is regarded as a Top 5 basketball recruiting class for 2011. A trio of in-state players are part of the five-man class and will be on display beginning today in the state championship games at Summit Arena in Hot Springs.
Guard Ky Madden guided East Poinsett County to the Class 2A title game against Parkers Chapel. Forward Hunter Mickelson has been a centerpiece of Jonesboro Westside’s trip to the Class 4A state championship. He and the Warriors face Clarksville at 12:45 p.m. Saturday. Forward Aaron Ross has Little Rock Parkview in the Class 6A title game to face El Dorado at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
Here’s the lineup of state title games, set to tip off at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Recruiting analyst Otis Kirk has more on Mickelson, Ross and Madden in today’s Recruiting 360 column. Kirk also looks at Razorback targets playing for Sylvan Hills and West Memphis.
