April 9, 2007
John Pelphrey hired to replace Stan Heath. Pelphrey becomes the 14th head coach of the Razorbacks.
Oct. 26, 2007
Injuries and suspensions leave the team short-handed for the Red-White game. Pelphrey dresses out and participates.
March 15, 2008
A buzzer-beater from Steven Hill lifts the Razorbacks into the SEC Tournament finals, past No. 4 Tennessee.
March 22, 2008
Senior forward Sonny Weems scores 31 points as Arkansas opens the NCAA Tournament with a victory against Indiana. It was the Razorbacks’ first time to advance since 1999.
June 10, 2008
Pel's Pals is launched.John and Tracy Pelphrey begin philanthropic work for children's charities and neo-natal research.
Aug. 8, 2008
Sophomore guard Patrick Beverley withheld for the season. Beverley left the team and later admitted to academic fraud.
Dec. 17, 2008
Forward Montrel McDonald leaves the team. He is the first of five members of the 2008 class — ranked among the nation's Top 10 — to leave the program in 18 months.
Jan. 6, 2009
Arkansas improves to 12-1 after knocking off No. 7 Texas. Days earlier the Razorbacks defeated then No. 4-Oklahoma. From there, the Razorbacks ended Pelphrey’s tenure by going 34-36.
Jan. 24, 2009
Walk-on Marcus Monk withheld from competition because of a “eligibility issues" a month after joining the team. Monk never returned.
March 1, 2009
Former coach Nolan Richardson and members of Arkansas' 1994 national title team return to Bud Walton Arena. Current players beat Georgia 89-67 with a crowd of 19,724 watching.
May 6, 2009
NCAA puts Arkansas on notice for an 888 Academic Progress Rate. Pelphrey would later get credit for improving the APR to a 933 last year.
