Freshman wide receiver Quinta Funderburk has been missing from Arkansas football practices. He’s still listed on the team’s roster, but there has been no official word on his status with the Razorbacks.

Funderburk’s former high school coach, Richard Morgan, seeminly offered some insight into the former Virginia player of the year’s status. Apparently, Funderburk, a mid-term enrollee and early graduate from Oscar Smith high school, has elected to give up football.

Funderburk hasn’t just quit the Razorbacks. He’s no longer playing football, Morgan told The Virginian-Pilot.

However, Funderburk tweeted: "Hog Fans and Friends I Still Play For The Razorbacks." That's different than his coach's comments to The Virginian-Pilot suggest:

“As far as I know, he’s done,” said a somber Morgan. “He doesn’t want to play football anymore. It has nothing to do with him being out of state or anything like that. He just doesn’t want to play football for whatever reason.”

So Funderburk says he's on the team. His coach says he isn't.

What's Bobby Petrino say? We're efforting official word on Funderburk, a 6-foot-4, 205-pounder recorded 64 receptions for 1,412 yards and 15 touchdowns in his final season in high school.
