University of Arkansas running back Broderick Green sustained a torn ACL in his left knee during practice Wednesday. Green is expected to miss the 2011 season with the injury.

“Broderick had been doing a great job this spring and had been working extremely hard,” said UA head coach Bobby Petrino. “Although this is unfortunate for him, I know Broderick will focus during the recovery process. Our trainers and medical staff are among the best in the country and will assist him in overcoming the injury.”

Green has appeared in 26 games as a Razorback and has had five starts. During his collegiate career, he has had 229 carries for 925 yards and 17 touchdowns. In 2010, he appeared in all 13 games with two starts. He finished the year with 365 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
