Quinta Funderburk’s commitment to Arkansas football came into question after he missed six spring practices last month. Funderburk was a mid-term enrollee from high school and seemed to be wavering on the decision he made.

It’s hard to question the freshman wide receiver’s loyalty now. In fact, you could say Funderburk’s commitment to the Razorbacks is, uh, a cut above anybody else.

Funderburk has drawn the attention of Dr. Saturday, Yahoo! Sports’ excellent college football blog, and the always-entertaining Friends of the Program for a unique, Razorback-themed haircut. He got the word “Razorbacks" cut — and colored — into his hair.

Apparently, this was all part of a new look when Funderburk returned home for the prom. Funderburk even wore a red-and-white, Razorback-themed tuxedo linked to by Dr. Saturday. Friends of the Program created the excellent photo illustration that accompanies this blog post.

Arkansas is hopeful Funderburk will help add depth to its receiving corps this year. Funderburk, a 6-foot-4, 205-pounder, recorded 64 receptions for 1,412 yards and 15 touchdowns in his final season in high school.

There just might be a day that Funderburk makes headlines for his play on the football field. Until then we can all marvel at his haircut.
