Sylvan Hills Guard Archie Goodwin Commits To Kentucky Wildcats Over Razorbacks

Sylvan Hills guard Archie Goodwin has orally committed to Kentucky.

Goodwin, a five-star prospect, chose the Wildcats over Arkansas and other schools including UConn, Georgetown and Kansas. He announced his decision on Twitter with the message “If you don’t now by now I’m a Wildcat!!!”

Arkansas was high on Goodwin, who is currently ranked the No. 13 prospect in the nation by 247Sports.com. Goodwin averaged 29 points, 8 rebounds and 2.8 assists as a junior.

Reaction to he announcement was mixed on Twitter. Several Arkansas fans posted negative reactions to Goodwin's decision on his profile.

“Ill always rep ARK. I got it tatted on my chest!! But I had to do what I Had to do. Point Blank Period,” he posted.

Commitments are non-binding until signing day, which runs November 9-16 for the fall period.
