Arkansas avoided a loss at Ole Miss. But the Razorbacks couldn’t avoid slipping in the BCS standings.

A 29-24 victory against the Rebels wasn’t enough for Arkansas (6-1, 2-1) to maintain its spot in the BCS. Now the Razorbacks are No. 10, failing to move up in a week two Top 10 teams lost.

Oregon, now the highest ranked one-loss team at No. 7, and Kansas State each moved past Arkansas. LSU and Alabama are ranked No. 1 and 2 in the polls. The Tigers and Crimson Tide meet Nov. 5.

Arkansas is No. 8 in both the USA Today and Associated Press polls.
